Getting Started

What does VehicleImporters.ie do?

VehicleImporters.ie manages the entire vehicle import process into Ireland, including sourcing, transport, customs clearance, VAT, VRT guidance and final delivery. We remove the paperwork, risk and delays involved in importing a vehicle yourself.

Customers can save up to 25% compared to Irish retail prices, particularly on:

  • Premium brands
  • High-spec models
  • Electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles
  • Nearly-new cars

We provide a full landed cost breakdown upfront, so you know exactly what you’re saving before committing. Request a quote for the vehicle you have in mind.

For the most part, we do not carry physical stock.

Most vehicles shown on our vehicles page are available to order from UK suppliers. We operate a sourcing and import model rather than a traditional forecourt model, which allows us to offer better value and wider choice.

We make every effort to:

  • Display accurate and up-to-date pricing
  • Reflect current exchange rates
  • Show realistic VRT estimates
  • Provide transparent landed cost figures

However, final pricing is always confirmed before you commit to purchase.

Tax, Customs & VRT

Yes. Importing from the UK is still very common. However, customs declarations, VAT and potential customs duty now apply. We handle all post-Brexit requirements and ensure your import is fully Revenue-compliant.

It depends on the vehicle. Many vehicles we import can be imported at 0% customs duty.

Yes, all vehicles imported from outside the EU are subject to VAT. See how this works on our VAT qualifying vehicles page.

VRT (Vehicle Registration Tax) is payable when registering a vehicle in Ireland.

We estimate VRT in advance using Revenue data, so you know the true cost before importing. Our sister company VRT.ie is Ireland’s VRT calculator and registration service.

Yes. We handle:

  • Import customs declarations
  • Revenue documentation
  • VAT and duty processing
  • Post-Brexit compliance checks

Customs clearance is handled in-house by our group’s customs company, CustomsDeclaration.ie. This is a key reason customers choose VehicleImporters.ie.
